About the Author. Shane Maddon
Shane Maddon grew up in the beautiful state of Washington with his family. He moved to Texas as a senior in high school and graduated there at the top of his class. He quickly became interested in art, where he made his own website and began selling his pictures. He had always enjoyed writing, and when he came up with the idea of the story in TEXAN HEAT, he wrote it down, and turned it in to the successful book that was published in 2008. Since then he has written several novels, and is in the process of writing a book series entitled The Destiny Series. Currently, Shane lives with his fiancé Craig, where they enjoy trips to Seattle to go shopping, and visit the zoo and aquarium. They both enjoy healthy living, and try to take several hiking/camping trips a year to the many national forests that Washington has to offer.
A Note from the Author.
I have always been an active member in the gay community, therefore it was no surprise when I decided to write a book that dealt with issues many gay/lesbian teens feel when accepting who they are. I have always enjoyed writing, and though this is my first book, I am currently in the process of writing more. I live in a small and beautiful town in Washington state, where I like spending time outdoors reading , gardening and playing with my cat Salem. I also head to Seattle any chance I get to visit the zoo and aquarium, or explore art galleries and attend Seahawk games with friends and family. I love hearing from my readers and I encourage them to write me.
